Position Title: Executive Director
Mountain States Group, Inc., Boise, Idaho

Mountain States Group, Inc. (MSG) is seeking an entrepreneurial executive director to build on our exceptional 35-year record of providing health and human services within Idaho, the United States and internationally.
MSG was founded in 1974. Its mission is to promote citizen and community leadership in improving health and human services and to provide high quality direct services for diverse populations. All of MSG's programs work toward the common mission of people shaping their own lives and sharing in their communities. The programs fall into six primary service categories: Healthy Aging, Healthy Children & Families, Mental Health, Rural Health, Refugee Services, and Public Health.
Headquartered in Boise, MSG has offices in five other Idaho cities and Jacksonville, Florida. The organization is governed by a 9-member board of directors comprised of leaders from across the United States. MSG's budget is $12.3 million and comes from nearly 40 different funding sources including federal grants and contracts, fee-for-service, private foundation grants and corporate and individual contributions. The incoming executive director will succeed Hartzell Cobbs who has led MSG for the past 17 years. The new director will inherit an organization with a sterling reputation among its funders and the community, and an organization that is financially sound, with strong programs, and excellent board and staff teams. MSG has a highly experienced management cadre, with 26 project directors supported by administrative team that includes the Executive Director, the Chief Financial Officer, the Office Manager and the Grant Writer, who also serves a strong program development role. Ideal candidates for this position will share MSG's commitment to promote citizen and community leadership in improving health and human services, the commitment to providing high quality direct services, and the mission of people shaping their own lives and sharing in their communities. He/she will bring a variety of experiences and attributes to MSG, including:
• A track record of strategic and visionary organizational leadership.
• Broad-based knowledge of public health and/or human services including multidisciplinary program experience.
• At least 10 years of management experience with at least five years at the senior management level, ideally in a nonprofit organization.
• Sophisticated leadership skills with the ability to lead a large, highly competent, independent team of professionals.
• An understanding of federal and state grants and contracts, and knowledge of federal health or social service policy.
• A Master's degree (or higher) in public health or related fields.

Position Title: Administrator
 Countrywide Services Agency, Sacramento, California

The County of Sacramento, California is seeking an experienced, hands-on Administrator with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. This at-will executive level position reports to the County Executive, and oversees 5,800 employees with an operating budget of $1.6 billion in a county with a population of approximately 1.4 million. The Administrator, Countywide Services Agency is responsible for management and control of ten key departments - approximately 80% of this agency's responsibility is in Health and Human Services. Possession of a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in public administration, business administration, operations management or a similar field is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have five years (5) of senior executive management experience. Position Title: Clinical Services Manager, MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES
                MID-COLUMBIA CENTER FOR LIVING, OREGON 

Position Summary:


Assumes major responsibility for the administration of child and adult mental health services in Wasco, Sherman and Hood River Counties . Assumes responsibility for compliance of programs with all applicable Oregon standards, regulations and requirements. Promotes close working relationship with community partners and staff to foster an effective service delivery system that meets community needs. Develops an effective team to participate and promote mission and goals of the agency. Ensures that clinical documentation meets Oregon Administrative and Medicaid requirements.

Duties include, but are not limited to: Position reports to Executive Director and participates on Management Team. Supervises staff and subcontracted services. Manages mental health budgets including development of new revenue sources and assures that budgets are balanced. Develops and updates policies and procedures as necessary to ensure compliance with Oregon Administrative Rules and applicable statutes. Works with supervisors to ensure effective and efficient use of staff and agency resources. Promotes community education. Participates in agency quality assurance and improvement activities through assuring full team participation as outlined in work plans and audits Promotes the use of evidenced based practices for applicable clinical programs; responsible for assuring that all letters of approval, certifications and other licenses are maintained in good standing for programs and assigned staff; responsible for monitoring contract and subcontracts; and responsible for research and completion of grants for funding as appropriate. Manages use of high end services including residential, crisis and acute care hospitalization.

Qualifications:


Education/Experience:
Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field and appropriate state license or certification. Must have five years post Master's experience in behavioral health which includes at least three years of clinical supervision of other professionals including program supervisors. Experience in dual diagnosis is preferred. Experience in the administration of public mental health programs in Oregon is a strong preference. Knowledge of the full spectrum of services including outpatient, residential, acute care, case management and recovery services required. Knowledge of the systems of care philosophy for children and youth services and support of family and youth advocacy and empowerment is preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities: Must have knowledge of practices, principles and philosophy of best and evidenced-based treatment practices for adult and child services. Thorough knowledge of a variety of treatment methods. Displayed competence in planning, developing and coordinating programs offering different levels of care. Must have strong knowledge of good administrative practices (e.g., management, budget, and personnel practices). Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to work with various community groups and clientele. Strong leadership skills are required. Development of successful grant applications for federal, private or state funding is a plus. Experience in the training and development of staff in clinical practices and administrative regulations required. Knowledge of process improvement and cultural transformation technology a plus. Strong computer skills including use of electronic medical records required.


Salary Range: $5,497 -$6,431/mo. + excellent benefits
